If you wish to nerd out, you can burn DVDs in Terminal and Disk Utility. You could create a separate partition on your Mac and continue to run Mojave and old 32bit programs.

My copy of Toast Titanium11 is 32bit so will not run in Catalina, but latest version Toast18, is Catalina compatible. Toast has some very limited menu options for the DVD appearance. I have also used the app Burn and Toast Titanium to create DVDs and Toast for Blu-ray Discs. IDVD is getting very buggy with latest OS's and AFAIK it was not rewritten in 64bit code so will not run in Catalina and I doubt that Apple will ever rewrite the code, so… R.I.P. Incidentally why is Apple moving away from pro aspects of movie production apps? All my movie editor friends had to junk FCP some time back and they moved back to AVID. I would love to find a substitute program but alas nothing comes close.

So my iMovie 10.1 which I use for YouTube blogs will not open in the older operation system. I have taken my Catalina OSX down back down to Mojave. OSX Catalina move back down to Mojave and iMovie won't go back.
